Past Work & Projects
A preview of some of the brands, leaders, and campaigns I’ve helped produce over the years.
How I help my clients:
-
A brand has a goal, but needs support figuring out how to get there.
-
Assembling the right creative teams (photo, video, design, editing, etc) to produce digital media — primarily storytelling campaigns.
-
Any part of the end-to-end event execution process: audio, visual, event planning, and producing.
-
Overseeing a multi-phase initiative from concept through completion
-
A blend of creative strategy and content production focused specifically on video narrative
REC PHILLY
REC PHILLY
REC PHILLY
It's hard to summarize 12 years of building REC Philly into a few sentences. As co-founder and CEO, Dave & team built the organization from an idea to a basement to a warehouse to a state-of-the-art creative facility in Center City Philadelphia. REC Philly was a creative incubator and agency empowering the local creative community for over a decade — Dave led a team of 50+ full-time employees, generated tens of millions in revenue through brand partnerships, and paid out millions to local creatives and organizations for their work. Dave ultimately closed the business in 2025, which leads you to this website now :)
The following were produced under REC Philly, the company Dave co-founded and led.
Content Production
City Fitness — "I'm Yours" Campaign
The client arrived with a vision and creative strategy in place. REC assembled and led the full local media production team — influencers, videographers, editors, photographers, and producers — to execute it. Locally produced, community-rooted.
Creative Strategy · Content Production · Event Production
Jason Kelce / Underdog Apparel
Launch of Jason's nonprofit. REC developed the storytelling strategy, produced social media assets and website content for the launch, and produced the launch event — which included a fashion show, Eagles players, a sold-out room, and hundreds of thousands of dollars raised.
Creative Strategy · Content Production · Event Production · Program Management
Black Music City / WXPN
2020–2025. REC brought a William Penn Foundation grant concept to life, serving as the lead organizer for the full program. This included all promotional media (photo, video, design), managing thousands of community submissions, distributing $500K+ into the Philadelphia music community, and producing an annual culminating event over five years.
Creative Strategy · Content Production
ArtPhilly
2026
ArtPhilly is a new festival premiering May 2026 as part of Philadelphia's 250th anniversary celebration. The festival spans 34 unique artist projects displayed across the city over several weeks. REC was brought on to tell the stories of the artists and projects — and to create promotional media, including a piece featured in the New York Times.
Event Production · Content Production · Talent Booking · Fundraising
Amplify Philly
Amplify Philly started as an idea and became a fully operational nonprofit — and over seven years, I co-founded it, fundraised over $500k, booked the talent for headlining performances and panels, planned content teams & launched the social media pages, and produced the events, including several multi-day venue & tradeshow takeovers in Austin, Texas. The initiative was incorporated as a 501(c)(3), built a board of directors, and eventually Dave stepped off the board once it had legs of its own. It's still running today.
Independent Work
Independent Work
The following projects were done by Dave as an independent consultant and producer.
Creative Strategy · Event Production
ESPN — "Philly Special" 30 for 30 Activation
February 2026
A national brand & their agency needed a local team to activate in Philadelphia for a local celebration for their 30for30 documentary premiere on the Philadelphia Eagles. Dave delivered activation concepts, location options, and influencer strategy — then produced the full event at Reading Terminal Market, coordinating all vendors, venue logistics, media producers, and designers.
Creative Strategy · Visual Storytelling
Jordan Mailata + Mailata Family Foundation
When Jordan and Niki Mailata set out to launch the Mailata Family Foundation, a nonprofit providing scholarships to Philadelphia youth, they had a brand team but needed support with content strategy. We built that strategy from the ground up and led multiple days of production, filming Jordan and Niki across school locations to capture the photo and video assets needed for their website and social launch.
When it came time for the launch event, We ran media production end to end: staffing photographers and videographers, building shot lists and storyboards, and creating a dedicated media zone to capture VIP guests and Eagles players. The result was a library of story driven content that supported the foundation's mission at launch and continues to fuel their website and social channels today.
